PORNavigator is similar in operation to a webring, sites can join it and it will be one method for sharing traffic amongst a group of sites. In addition PORNavigator is also a toplist. Every time somebody navigates to your page using the PORNavigator, or straight from our toplist then you gain an 'IN' point. Every time somebody navigates away from your page, and onto the pornavigator network then you gain an 'OUT' point. Your total score (which determines your sites ranking) is determined by halving your 'OUT' score and adding it to your 'IN' score.
Every week the scores are normalised, this ensures that the best performing sites are always top on the list, and not merely the sites that have been there the longest. The toplist is rebuilt on an hourly basis, each rebuild reflecting the updated scores.
As more sites are added it is planned to split the PORNavigator into Niches. This will happen automatically and you will not need to adjust any code on your pages.
